As the holiday season approaches, a Pee Dee church is helping children who are less fortunate.
The Sword of Truth Ministries in Bennettsville is now partners with Toys for Tots.
Saturday , parishioners braved the cold temperatures and collected toys.
People came out and filled the boxes with dozens of presents for children on Christmas Day.
Pastor Chris Brown says it's their mission to help those in need, "we endeavor to ensure that every child in Marlboro County will at least have one toy on Christmas morning. We understand that the times are hard. The economy is down and we want to do our part."
A drop box will remain at the church on Cheraw Highway in Bennettsville.
The church will also have six other boxes at stores in Bennettsville, as well at the Marlboro County Sheriff's Office and Bennettsville Police Department.
