A Coastal Carolina University student killed in a crash 15 years ago will forever be remembered.

Members of Pi Kappa Phi dedicated a bell in memory of Chad Beaty near the Adkins Fieldhouse. A crowd of more than 50 people gathered together for the ceremony, including his parents and sister.

Beaty died 15 years ago and members of the fraternity he helped form say his legacy still lives on.

Chad's mom, Sally Rogers, said, "It's been an experience to be a part of these young fellas lives and they're so dedicated to this fraternity and to Chad.. his ways, his enthusiasim and support for life."

After the unveiling, the group took roses to Chad's grave site near campus.
