(AP) -- Police have arrested a North Charleston man in the 2002 stabbing death of a Charleston taxi driver.

Multiple media outlets reported that 42-year-old Derrick Wright was charged Wednesday with killing 62-year-old Eugene Thomas of North Charleston.

Thomas worked for Yellow Cab for more than 12 years.

The general manager of Yellow Cab, Lee Halley, donated money to Crime Stoppers, which prints and distributes playing cards of pictures of victims of unsolved crimes.

Those cards are the only ones available for inmates to buy while in jail.

Charleston Police Cpl. C.F. Bowie says investigators got an anonymous tip from a caller who had seen Thomas' picture on one of the cards.
