(AP) -- GILBERT, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Republican gubernatorial nominee Nikki Haley says it's time to get back to the basics of governing.

The three-term House member told several hundred Republicans gathered at a Christmas tree farm near her Lexington district to get excited about the state's Republican slate of candidates. Haley says she'll work with them to put agencies' spending online, limit lawmakers' terms in office and fight the new federal health care law.

She faces Democrat Vincent Sheheen on Tuesday.

Haley thanked her family and said her husband Michael will be the "coolest first man you've ever seen."

She was joined by all GOP nominees for statewide office, as well as U.S. Rep. Joe Wilson, and Sens. Jim DeMint and Lindsey Graham.

All gave separate speeches.
