The Democrat running for governor, State Senator Vincent Sheheen was on the Grand Strand Thursday.
He stopped by the NewsChannel 15 studio today to talk about the issues. We asked him if he would consider raising the gas tax in South Carolina which is among the lowest in the country. "I don't support raising the gas tax," said Sheheen, "I don't think that our workforce can handle an increased gas tax on a basic good or necessity."
Senator Sheheen will be on Carolina This Week Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. on NewsChannel 15.
He's running against State Representative Nikki Haley, who declined our invitation.
