NewsChannel 15 has learned mayor pro-tem of Dillon, Randolph Gurley, has been indicted.
The Dillon County grand jury indicted Gurley Thursday morning on charges of attempted murder, criminal domestic violence and two counts of distribution of marijuana.
In August, state police charged Gurley with attempted murder after they say he intentionally ran over Lee Leonard, following an argument.
Gurley is also charged with distribution of a controlled substance near a school and distribution of cocaine. The Dillon County Sheriff's Office and the State Law Enforcement Division say that charge stems from an investigation that started in June when they say Gurley sold drugs to an undercover agent.
In July, SLED also charged him with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. Officers say in that case, his wife filed an incident report saying Gurley threatened her with a knife.
We're waiting to hear from the governor's office to find out if Gurley will be removed from office.
