The phone system to the North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Department is down.
People who need to reach the police or fire department should call 843-249-1411 or 911.
A North Myrtle Beach spokesperson says the 249 number is an old copper line that was not impacted by the system crash.
The city says it will update us when the phone system is working again.
