As we cruise through fall and inch closer to winter, that means its time for flu season.

You can protect yourself against strains of flu this year by getting your flu shots today on the Grand Strand.

Flu shots will be offered at the River Hills Medical Plaza in Little River from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The shots are $20 for individuals 16 and older. Parental consent is required for those who are 16 and 17.

The shots will be administered by nurses from Grand Strand Medical Center.

Just last week, DHEC reported the first case of inluenza in the state, a child in Richland County.
