On Friday, the Northeastern Strategic Alliance will host a gubernatorial forum called "Making I-73 a Reality."

Both Republican State Representative Nikki Haley, and Democrat State Senator Vincent Sheheen have been invited.

Haley's communication director, Rob Godfrey, says she won't be able to attend because of a long standing prior commitment.  Representative Thad Viers tells NewsChannel 15 he will be officially representing Nikki Haley at the I-73 forum.  He says the Haley campaign just learned of the event Wednesday afternoon.

NewsChannel 15 received a news release from NESA about the forum on Tuesday afternoon.

Senator Sheheen's campaign says he will attend.

The NESA I-73 committee members will offer questions to both sides to determine their views and get their ideas regarding I-73
