Marion Police say an 11-year-old boy who led them on a chase in a stolen pickup truck Monday, has done it again.
Lt. Farmer Blue says the boy stole an SUV from Richard's Restaurant in Marion just after 6pm, Tuesday. He says the boy saw the keys in the car, got in it and took off.
Blue says an officer spotted the boy on Waverly Way and turned on his blue lights, but the 11-year-old kept driving. He says the chase ended five minutes later when the boy stopped the car and tried to run, but was quickly arrested.
A family court judge granted Marion Police a court order to have the child placed in the custody of the Department of Juvenile Justice until a hearing takes place.

The keys were in left in that truck as well. Police chased him for about ten minutes until his mother went out into the street and got him to stop the truck.
He was placed in the custody of DJJ then, but released to a guardian.
Normally, a hearing takes place within 48 hours of a juvenile's arrest. We're waiting to learn when it will be held.
