Charges have now been filed in the death of a Marion man who died after being run over after the USC/Alabama game more than a week ago.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department charged Curtis Simms with involuntary manslaughter.

Investigators say road rage during a traffic jam after the game led to a fight between Simms and 20-year-old Martin Gasque.

Deputies say Simms punched Gasque, who fell down and was then was run over by the truck he was originally riding in.

Gasque, a former Marion High School and Coker College baseball player, died at the hospital.
