The incident happened on Midway Highway near Johnsonville in Florence County.
State troopers say at 6:15 Saturday morning the driver of an SUV ran off the road and overturned.
The driver and the victim were not wearing seat belts and officials say they were thrown from the car.
Florence County Deputy Coroner Don Reynolds says the victim is 21-year-old Alonzo Moore of Johnsonville. Officials say four people total were in the car.
