(AP) -- The South Carolina Highway Patrol has charged a 26-year-old Clemson University graduate student with leaving the scene of a fatal mo-ped crash.
Astrid Muller was arrested Monday and charged with driving too fast for conditions and leaving the scene of a fatal crash. Muller was being held at the Greenville County jail and it was not known if she has an attorney.
She's accused of rear-ending a mo-ped driven by 49-year-old James David Grisham of Easley. Grisham died Saturday when he was thrown from the mo-ped. He was not wearing a helmet.
A Clemson spokeswoman told The Greenville News that Muller is studying bioengineering.
WYFF-TV in Greenville reported that a tip led to Muller's arrest.
