Conway police have charged a man arrested last week, in connection with the shooting death of a man who then drove his car into a building last Tuesday night.
The suspect, Lorenzo Jaquel Herion, 19, faces charges in connection with a number of unsolved crimes along with three other suspects also now under arrest.
Police say last Tuesday, Malcolm Kinlaw drove his car into the Thomas Supply building on 3rd Avenue just minutes after being shot by Herion. Kinlaw died at the hospital. In connection with this incident, Herion is charged with Murder and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.
Herion is also accused of a home invasion on July 14th along with Jackie Duvale Jenkins, 24, of Loris, Eric Dimitri Gause, 24, of Longs, and William Christopher Suggs, 26, of Conway. It happened at an apartment on Ernest Finney Avenue. The victim told police he went outside to get something out of his car when a man with a gun forced him back into his apartment with four other men. Once inside, the victim was forced to the floor, tied up and assaulted. Police say the men took the man's jewelry, cell phone and money from his pants pocket. In connection with this incident, Herion, Jenkins, Gause and Suggs are charged with Burglary 1st Degree, Armed Robbery, Kidnapping, Criminal Conspiracy, and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.
Gause and Jenkins are charged with Attempted Murder, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime in connection with a shooting and robbery that happened August 20th. The victim said he was standing at the stop sign at the intersection of Spivey and Mauldin Street waiting for a ride when two men walked past him and one grabbed him and put a gun to his head. He managed to get away, but a shot was fired - hitting him in the leg. He fell over a fence and told police the men caught up to him and stole his money. Police say one of the shots fired at the victim went through the door of a home on Mauldin Street.
Herion, Jenkins and Gause are charged with Armed Robbery, Kidnapping and Criminal Conspiracy in connection with a September 16th robbery on El Bethel Road. Police say the victim was meeting with someone at a nearby car wash to talk about purchasing some rims. At the car wash he was in his car when approached by a man and a car pulled up beside him. He told police the men robbed him and took off.
