(AP) -- South Carolina state police are talking about recent arrests as part of a major drug investigation.
The State Law Enforcement Division is holding a news conference Thursday at its headquarters in Columbia to talk about an investigation known as "Operation Black Poppy."
Authorities say state, local and federal law officers have been working for more than a year to break up a multimillion dollar heroin cartel in South Carolina.
SLED says some of the arrests they're discussing happened during a raid early Wednesday morning in Columbia.
