(AP) -- Police say someone shot and killed one man and wounded another in a drive-by shooting in Spartanburg.

Multiple media outlets reported the shooting happened shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday.

Police say four men had left a Spartanburg nightclub when a pickup truck pulled beside them and a passenger in the truck started shooting.

Twenty-three-year-old Terrell Rashawn Wellman of Spartanburg was shot in the side and died about an hour-and-a-half later at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Twenty-four-yearold Vernard Buckman Jr. was shot in the leg and was treated and released from the hospital.

Capt. Randy Hardy says the other people in the car said there had been no altercation in the nightclub before the shooting.

Hardy says investigators have not identified any suspects.
