A woman was shot and killed around 8:45 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Billy Farrow Highway and Highway 52 Bypass. The coroner says her name will be released when her family has been notified.
Police say this shooting was part of a domestic situation.
Police have a person of interest in the homicide, but they're not releasing a name. We understand there's a new development in the case in the search for that suspect, and we're waiting on the Darlington County Sheriff's Office to release that information. Deputies are at a home on Floyd Road, which is just a few miles down from the original crime scene. At this time, officers won't say why they're at the home.
