(AP) -- CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - The Lifetime television series "army Wives" will return to Charleston to film its fifth season. The Post and Courier of Charleston reported Saturday that producers decided to return after state lawmakers voted in June to keep economic incentives for companies filming in the state.

Officials with the television show say they will start shooting the first of 13 episodes before year-end and will wrap up in May. "Army Wives" officials threatened to move the Charleston-based production if the incentives were not renewed.

Show stars Catherine Bell and Kim Delaney visited the state Senate to make the case for preserving the film industry perks. The show's officials say the series has contributed more than $120 million to the local economy since it starting filming in Charleston in 2006.
