Myrtle Beach will host a meeting aimed at improving relations between the U.S. and Canada.
The conference of the Southeastern United States and Canadian Provinces Alliance will be held in Myrtle Beach in 2012.
That announcement came during a visit Tuesday by David Wilkins, a former South Carolina lawmaker who also served as U.S. ambassador to Canada.
Wilkins says the alliance is aimed at improving trade and investment opportunities between Southeastern U.S. states and Canada.
