Abdullah Mustafa is charged with pointing and presenting a firearm at an apartment on North Horseshot Road in Little River.
Former Waccamaw Economic Opportunity Council board member Abdullah Mustafa, 46, is charged with pointing and presenting a firearm at an apartment on North Horseshot Road in Little River.
A woman who says she dated Mustafa three years ago, told police he got into her apartment Saturday morning using a key he still had. The woman told police Mustafa kept keys to her apartment and her car because he still helped her out from time to time.
She said she had a male friend in bed with her when Mustafa appeared in her bedroom, and put a gun to the man's head. She said he was yelling profanities at them when her 13-year-old daughter came into the room crying and Mustafa left.
According to the police report, the woman said Mustafa called her a short time later, saying she would have to have her friend drive her around since she wouldn't have a car. She told police she looked outside and saw her Toyota Sequoia was missing.
The police report says Mustafa told them he and the woman are still romantically involved and that there was no physical altercation or gun involved. He said he went to the apartment to confront her about cheating on him with the male friend. He said he didn't have the car or know where it is.
The woman declined to press any additional charges against Mustafa.
The former EOC board member was recently kicked off the board when the state agency that funds the EOC said his April 2009 election was not in accordance with the EOC's bylaws.
