Friday afternoon, state police charged James Everette Grooms,65, McColl, with seven counts of lewd act on a child under 16 and three counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Arrest warrants say Grooms sexually assaulted the girls, ranging from 5 to 14 years old, at or near his home in McColl from the 1970's through the 1990's.
Officials with the State Law Enforcement Division say there could be more victims with similar allegations against Grooms.

Grooms is being held at the Marlboro County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.
