Marlboro County deputies arrested Howard Brown, 19, William Ross, 21, Alison McLain, 22, Otis McLaughlin, 21, and a juvenile in connection with more than 20 burglaries in Marlboro and Scotland counties.
Deputies say they got leads on the suspects following an attempted burglary on Hickory Grove Road in Marlboro County.
Since then, they charged the suspects with burglary first and second degree, petit larceny, grand larceny and malicious damage to property.
Deputies say they've recovered several stolen items, including firearms.
They're returned many of the stolen goods to their owners.
The investigation continues.
