YORK, S.C. (AP) -- U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene is taking his longshot campaign to northern South Carolina on Monday.

Greene plans to spend time on a morning talk show on Charlotte, N.C., radio station WBT, then the Democrat will end the day with an appearance at a restaurant in York.

Event organizer Will Bigger says Greene will be given time to talk to voters, then a moderator will ask him questions submitted by voters and reporters.

The event was originally sponsored by the Western York County Democrats, but Bigger says the organization pulled its invitation after Greene was indicted on two charges earlier this month, including a felony count of showing pornography to University of South Carolina student.
