The superintendent of the Mullins School District, Michael Lupo, tells NewsChannel 15 the head football coach at Mullins High School is under investigation after an allegation of inappropriate conduct.

The superintendent says Gregory Hill is on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.

The State Law Enforcement Division and Mullins Police are investigating the allegation that surfaced Thursday from a student.

Mullins Police Chief Kenneth Davis says he plans to meet with officials at the solicitor's office Friday morning to discuss the investigation.

This is Hill's first year as the head varsity football coach. He served for several years as an assistant coach at Mullins.

The Mullins Auctioneers won their first game of the season last week, beating Georgetown 22-2.
