(AP) -- Authorities say one worker was killed and another injured after a scaffolding collapsed near the South Carolina Aquarium.

Charleston police told multiple media outlets that the men were

on the scaffolding working on windows at a condominium around 4:00 p.m. Monday when it gave way.

Authorities say one man fell to the concrete below and died. His name has not been released. The other man fell into the Cooper River and was taken to Medical University Hospital. His condition was not known.

Officers are investigating what caused the scaffolding to collapse.
