GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- A 21-year-old South Carolina man has died nearly two years after he fell from a third-floor apartment balcony.
The Greenville News reported that Daniel William Catena III died Sunday of complications of traumatic brain injury. Greenville County Deputy Coroner Kent Dill says Catena was hospitalized for about a year and then had been cared for by his parents until he died from what appeared to be a hemorrhage.
An autopsy was scheduled Monday.
Investigators say Catena had been visiting friends on August 24, 2008 when he leaned over a balcony railing, fell and landed partly on a concrete patio.
