Horry County Fire Rescue's Team Horry won the regional championship in the Combat Challenge Relay Division.
The regional championship was held in Lexington, Kentucky over the weekend.
Team Horry also posted the second fastest time of the year in the relay division, coming in at a 1:13.
"Our team trains all year long for these competitions and we are proud of Team Horry's showing," stated Michael Medeiros, wellness coordinator for Horry County Fire Rescue and team captain for Team Horry. "We are looking forward to continuing the momentum, all the way to the World Firefighter Combat Challenge in November, which will be held here in Myrtle Beach."
Other men on the team include David Howell, Aaron Windsor, Michael Noreck, Jim Edbrooke.
