Horry County Fire Rescue is getting some national recognition after proving they're some of the best fire fighters in the country.
The fire department is in Lexington, Kentucky this weekend, competing in a firefighter combat challenge against fire departments from all over North America.
The events include individual and team challenges and relays. Horry County won first place in the team relay.
Those who qualify in Lexington, move on to the global competition, which will be in Myrtle Beach this November.
