Residents on some streets in North Myrtle Beach say anytime it rains heavily in a short period of time, many streets, yards and driveways around Ocean Boulevard become overwhelmed.
They blame poor drainage systems for the water build up but they add, it's something they're getting used to. "It's just about average. We've seen it worse. 58th is just one of those unlucky streets that floods every time we have a lot of rain," said John and Emma Brough, who live on 58th Avenue North.
Many residents say drivers often speed through the flooded streets, which causes waves of water to flow onto people's driveways and yards.
