(AP) -- South Carolina's top-ranking congressman is trying to make sure residents know how new health care reforms will affect them.

House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn is hosting his sixth annual health fair Friday in Santee.

A representative from the Department of Health and Human Services will be on hand to answer questions, and there will be interactive computer stations to provide personalized information.

Participants can also get free HIV tests and screenings for cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, glaucoma and prostate.

This year's event will also focus on health disparities along South Carolina's Interstate 95 corridor. The area is home to high rates of prostate cancer deaths among black men and complications from diabetes.
