An Horry County grand jury indicted the man accused of stabbing his girlfriend and causing a deadly crash while running from police last March.

Police say Johnny Foster stabbed his girlfriend and took off in their SUV.

They say while he was running from police, he caused the crash that killed Cheryl Byrd and seriously hurt another person.

The grand jury returned indictments for eight charges, including felony DUI and assault and battery with intent to kill.

His trial date hasn't yet been confirmed.
