Coroner identifies man killed after being hit by car

Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee says Marion B. Joe, 81, died Tuesday.

Highway Patrol says Joe was walking to his mailbox when he was hit by a car.

It happened just after noon on East McIver Road.

Highway Patrol says its likely no charges will be filed. Although, they continue to investigate.
