An Horry County man will get 30 years in prison for stabbing his wife to death nearly three years ago.
Charles Ray Dean, 48, pleaded guilty to murder Monday.
He killed his wife, Jill Dean, 39, outside her Conway home on October 16, 2007.
Prosecutors say she called police the night before she was killed and told police her husband had pulled her hair and hit her. Police searched the area, didn't find Dean, then left with plans to seek an arrest warrant for him the next morning.
At 5:30 the next morning, Charles Dean returned to the home and stabbed her to death.
