Von Dutch is home after spending a few days at the veterinarian where he underwent reconstructive surgery for shooting injuries.

His owner would like to thank everyone who donated money so he could have the life-saving surgery.

On July 5th, Von Dutch wandered off from his home during a storm.

Two days later, his owner Robyn Rogers got a call that someone had found Von Dutch underneath a car on Kemper Street. "Just laying there bleeding to death. Dying," she said.

Von Dutch had been shot in the rear end several times. Robyn filed an incident report with the Lake View Police Department. "After talking with the victim, we determined there was enough probable cause to go with a warrant," said Lt. Mike Jackson.

The accused shooter is expected to go to court sometime in August.
