Conway man drowns in the Pee Dee

A Conway man drowned in the Pee Dee Saturday.

Marion County Coroner Jerry Richardson tells NewsChannel 15 that Larry Heath Alford, 33, of Conway was swimming in Dill Creek, just off the Little Pee Dee River in Marion County Saturday Evening.

Richardson says Alford was with several friends at the time. But around 6:00 p.m. Alford drowned while swimming.

Richardson says he's still waiting on toxicology test results.
