Friday night, the Florence County Sheriff's office held it's monthly road checkpoint in conjunction with the Law Enforcement Network.

More than 200 cars traveled through the checkpoint on Old Marion Highway in Florence County.

Officers with the Marion County Sheriff's Office assisted with the checkpoint.

The purpose was to make sure drivers and passengers were buckled up, officers also checked for impaired drivers.

The Florence County Sheriff's Office is the host agency for the Law Enforcement Network this year.

The sheriff's office plans to release the results of the checkpoint next week.
