Police have yet to track down a man who they say led them on a brief manhunt, following a high speed chase in Florence County Tuesday night.

The chase started around 10:00 p.m. Tuesday on National Cemetary Road.

A witness told NewsChannel 15, Florence County deputies and state troopers were chasing the car when the driver crashed into a wooded area on Fire Tower Road.

The witness said the man jumped out of the car and ran into the woods which led to a manhunt.

Police tell us they have a good idea who the driver is.

He will face a charge of driving under suspension.
