Bond set for suspected gang leader

Bond has been set at $75,000 for a man who police say is the leader of a violent, criminal street gang in Darlington County.

Police tell us the leader of the Red Scorpions Neighborhood Rolling 20 Bloods is Archie Leach, 33.

Friday night, NewsChannel 15 was there when deputies raided several homes and arrested ten suspected members of the Red Scorpions.

Sheriff Wayne Byrd says the Red Scorpions are responsible for several armed robberies and shootings in Florence, Darlington, Orangeburg and Calhoun counties.
