People in need got free food, linens and even hair care Saturday in Atlantic Beach.
The monthly give-away was held at the community center. The North Strand Helping Hand and Barefoot Community Church sponsor the event.
There were groceries, hair cuts and many happy people.
"It's very nice," said Laverne Johnson, an Atlantic Beach resident. "I got my ends cut and then I got food and got sheets so I appreciate it."
The food distribution is held the first Saturday of every month in a Atlantic Beach and anyone is welcomed to attend. However it's usually limited to the first 200 people.
