Crews have finished clean up, after a fuel leak at the Sun Mart Gas Station on George Bishop Parkway, according to DHEC Public Information Officer Adam Myrick.

Myrick said a large tanker truck leaked 60 to 80 gallons of diesel fuel and a portion of it went into the storm water system. The fuel came from a saddle tank of the truck, not the tanker itself, he said.

All equipment has been removed, and DHEC crews have cleared the scene.

Horry County Fire Rescue said the leak occurred at around 5 a.m. Wednesday, after the truck hit a piece of metal.
