The Dillon County Sheriff's Office says it is investigating an allegation of voter fraud in Tuesday's primary run-off election.

The sheriff's office says voter Willie Ruth Rowland told them an absentee ballot was filled out in her name, without her authorization.

Rowland told them she discovered the error when she was turned away from her precinct, sent to a second precinct, and then sent to the voter registration office. There, she was told she'd already voted absentee.

Rowland then filed a complain with the sheriff's office. Officials at Dillon County's Voter Registration Office tell us the signature on the ballot does not appear to match Rowland's.

The sheriff's office is now investigating the authenticity of a group of ballots that were mailed in to the voter registration office.
