An oil tanker veered off an Horry County highway Thursday causing a scary scene.

The driver lost control of the truck on Highway 22, ran through a guard rail and into a low lying ditch.

Horry County Fire Rescue says a HazMat team was called to the scene, but determined there was no oil leak from the truck.

The driver of the tanker was taken to the Loris Hospital. His condition has not been released.
