Spirit Airlines resumes partial schedule Thursday

(AP) -- Spirit Airlines is operating about 20 flights on Thursday after its pilots made a deal to end their strike.

Flights began on Thursday at 4 p.m. EDT.

Spirit expects to resume full service on Friday. Their pilots first went on strike on Saturday.

The airline operates about 150 daily flights in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Spirit is privately held and based in Miramar, Fla.
