After five days of grounded flights, Myrtle Beach's largest airline carrier expects to be back in the air by week's end.

Wednesday afternoon, Spirit Airlines reached a tentative agreement with their pilots who have been on strike since Saturday in a pay dispute.

They hope to resume flights Friday.

At the Myrtle Beach International Airport Wednesday, we found some Spirit customers at ticket counters hoping to rebook flights, take advantage of vouchers, or just get information about what options they have.

The airline is offering customers credit for future flights, plus $100.

Since pilots walked out Saturday, many Spirit customers found themselves stranded with limited ability to use their tickets on other airlines.

Many paid hundreds of dollars to fly on another carrier or rented cars to get where they were going.

While we found some disgruntled passengers at the airport this weekend, customers we caught up with Wednesday were a bit more mild mannered.

"They bumped me. It's ok," said Michael Johnson, who is visiting Myrtle Beach from El Salvador.

He continued, "I'm getting a voucher. I leave Monday. I even emailed them and said you can free up my seat for someone else if you want. No big deal, best to be tranquillo, and not to get your blood pressure all up. We're gonna get out eventually."

Gina Kerley, visiting Myrtle Beach from Boston, agreed.

"I think it was ok to be honest. The airline was fair enough. They got us here on Saturday as we wanted to, and we'll get some money back. You know, we spent a couple hundred dollars more than we planned, but they treated us ok."

Spirit pilots still have to approve the agreement. A vote is expected next month, but in the meantime, they plan to work.

Spirit is telling passengers with travel plans for this Friday to confirm those flights at www.spiritair.com
