A lightening strike caused an Horry County fire just outside of Myrtle Beach.

The brush fire spread behind the Queens Harbor subdivision in Horry County, that's off Highway 17 just south of The Market Common.

The South Carolina Forestry Commission says the fire burned about six acres.

Firefighters battled the fire for several hours and witnesses say the smoke in the area was extremely heavy at times.

No one was hurt and no structures were damaged.
