Press Release - In an effort to raise funds for local breast cancer survivors, the 29th Annual Summer Kite Festival will be held June 18-19, 2010, on the beach in front of the Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort at 8400 Costa Verde Dr., in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The event will take place from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Kites will be given away in exchange for a donation to the first 500 participating children ages 12 and under.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event and come out to fly a kite as well as take a look at free kite flying exhibitions and shows. World renowned kite flyers will be in town to demonstrate their kite flying skills as well as give lessons to those interested in learning how to fly single line as well as stunt kites.

Event t-shirts will also be available in exchange for a donation to Caring In Our Lifetime.

The kite festival is sponsored by Klig's Kites and McDonald's. Proceeds will benefit Caring In Our Lifetime, which was first organized in 1997 to raise funds for a local breast cancer survivor. The effort has continued annually to help many more survivors with their medical bills and other expenses related to breast cancer. Caring In Our Lifetime has raised more than $300,000 to help local survivors in Horry and Georgetown counties.

Caring in Our Lifetime's 2010 sponsor is Carolina Regional Cancer.

For more information regarding the Kite Festival call Rick at 843-448-7881. Information regarding Caring In Our Lifetime may be found at www.CarringInOurLifetime.com <http://www.CarringInOurLifetime.com>
