After a two week delay, shrimping season in South Carolina starts Tuesday.

At 8:00 a.m., the Department of Natural Resources will open the remaining state waters to allow shrimpers to start harvesting.

Traditionally, DNR opens the season somewhere between early May and late June.

Cold water temperatures were the reason for the nearly two week delay.
