Myrtle Beach Police have arrested two men in connection with a carjacking Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of the Myrtle Beach Lowe's on Highway 17 Bypass.
Police say the victim was approached by two men in the parking lot, one of whom showed a gun tucked into his waistband. The men demanded the key to the Ford F-150 pick up being driven by the victim.
The victim gave up the keys and the men drove off in the truck.
Police searched for car and the men, but didn't locate either.
Thursday morning, according to an arrest warrant, Curtis Cheeseboro was in the Myrtle Beach jail on a charge of driving under suspension. A detective who interviewed Cheeseboro says he obtained information linking Cheeseboro and another man, Daniel Isiah Mitchell, to the carjacking.
While the detectives were discussing the case at the jail's service counter, a person they later identified as the other suspect, Mitchell, arrived to check on Cheeseboro.
Detectives confronted Mitchell outside the jail and arrested him.
Both Cheeseboro and Mitchell are charged with carjacking.
