Myrtle Beach Police conducted a traffic safety checkpoint on Wednesday, stopping 728 vehicles on South Ocean Boulevard.

As a result of the checkpoint, officers issued 19 drivers license violations, ten vehicle license violations , one equipment violation, and three driving under suspension citations.

They made arrests in three illegal drug cases, wrote tickets for six other moving violations and cited eleven drivers for not having proof of insurance.

In all, police issued 53 citations, made six arrests, and towed four vehicles.
