A former Darlington police officer filed a federal lawsuit against the city and the chief of police.

Dawn Voglio filed the lawsuit on the grounds of sexual harassment and retaliation.

Voglio says throughout her ten-year employment with the city, she suffered continuous sexual advances, comments and unwanted physical contact at the hands of her boss, Chief Jay Cox.

Her lawsuit claims she was fired because a sexual harrassment complaint was filed with the South Carolina Human Affairs Commission.
